Frequently Asked Questions About SCBA Accessories
The MSA G1 rechargeable battery is designed to last for over 1,000 charge cycles. Switching to rechargeable packs significantly reduces the long-term cost and environmental waste associated with single-use alkaline batteries.
We stock BA Shields specifically designed for the MSA G1 and the Scott AV3000-HT. These are precision-molded to snap securely onto the specific geometry of those facepieces to ensure they don't slip during training exercises.
While some cylinders use standard threaded connections, we strongly recommend using MSA-branded cylinders with the G1 system to maintain NIOSH certification. Using third-party cylinders can void warranties and, more importantly, may compromise the safety and performance standards of the assembly.
